Caring Hands for Africa was part of the NITDA and Enugu State Training Programme for the physically challenged in Enugu. 50 laptops, wifi, etc were given to the participants.
Read more According to the World Health Organization, 190 million children, mostly in Africa suffer
from Vitamin A deficiency. Vitamin A deficiency leads to visual impairment in the form of
night blindness. It may also increase the risk of illness.
Available data
indicates that Vitamin A deficiency is high amongst the poor and vulnerable in rural
communities in Nigeria. This means that the poor do not understand the importance of taking
vitamin supplements, and can not afford them if needed.
Caring Hands for Africa aims to provide Vitamin supplements for children
between the ages of 4 to 12 years.
